shakespeare and myself.

How different, simple and adrenalin-free life used to be before the
frivolous abundance of internet plagued our daily lives with cheap
access to expensive information from every corner of the world within
the powers of just a few clicks. I remember households use to have books
called encyclopedias, world atlas, etc. I myself occasionally stumbled
upon a weird fact in an encyclopedia or came to know the name and
location of some weird place and it all used to be really exciting. I
remember I used to purposefully wait for an occasion to strike upon the
discussion about the latest bit of information I had learned that day.
And folks used to be surprised too. Not by my effort, but just by the
newness of the information. Ahh the sweet sleep of ignorance.

It
was all, however, tightly regulated. One had their doses of information
in moderation. The adrenalin rose to levels acceptable to human body
and always came back to its normal after a while. Unlike today. Quite
unlike today. The continuous surge of oneway information flow into our
minds today is causing an irreparable damage to our nervous systems.
There is no ignorance by choice today. I wonder if it will ever be
possible for a person to choose to live in ignorance again. I would be
the first to take it.. Just tell me where they are selling it and I will
be there to buy..

I can't seem to remember when did I last sit just by myself, do nothing and think of nothing.. Men are losing their edge.
